Great idea though.

I love these. I have big hands and bad reflexes so I prefer bigger and stronger tools and decided to pay more to avoid those cheap little side cutters. Was also thrilled to see that they are made in the USA. Great idea but very disappointed. The surface texture is rough and uneven. The blades don't cut completely at the base of the head, even if they meet there, and when they do cut, it takes a lot more force than is needed. I think I will return them or ask for a refund. It's sad to think that

Ideal for safety wire. Excellent warranty support.

I use them for safety wire (up to .041") and they get into hard-to-reach places that 'regular' cutters can't. For for more intensive use (e.g. large cotter pins) I use heavy-duty wire cutters (8" Diagonal Channellock E338 E Series XLT Splice Cutters). The first pair had a slight defect in jaw alignment that reduced effectiveness near the tip. But the Channellock warranty process was simple and relatively quick: 30 days from sending the defective pliers to receiving a new (perfect) replacement…

Great for drum brake springs and cutting zip ties

I bought these after watching a lot of videos recommending them for drum brake springs and they do a really good job. In the past I've used curved picks, flathead screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, and wire cutters to install springs. These pliers do a much better job and don't damage the springs. They are also great for cutting cable ties flush, especially at odd angles that are not suitable for a dam. But for wider zip ties, I either have to cut them twice or twist the zip tie until it breaks…

Needed for brake drum repair

I changed the brake drums on my 2001 Honda Cr-V (CRV) and ALL HOLY a favor and buy this great spring return tool. This spring is very difficult (almost impossible) to reattach with regular pliers or a drum brake hook, but it only took me about 15 seconds with this tool. cutting pliers. It should be the "END CUT" version. Essentially, you're using it as a closed "hook" for the curved part of the spring. The traditional drum brake hook tool (included in drum brake tool kits) was too large and…
