Without a doubt, these are the best pliers on the market. the best lever for trimming and driving staples and nails, and the staple remover is properly shaped for maximum effort when extracting old staples. I've used a number of other brands over the past 50 years and these are the best I've found. Good enough I've given these to other rancher friends to replace their tongs and now they all prefer the Chanellock tool!

Bought these for my husband to replace our previous pair of Kobalt brand Lowes. The handles on these are of a much better quality as they stay in place. This is a no frills item, we bought another pair due to the softer grips but soon found that the grips slip off the metal handle quite easily. Quality tool. Unfortunately, the surface appears to be quite unstable to corrosion. In just a few months it developed light surface rust despite being stored in a metal tool box with other fencing tools. Made from high quality, tough and hardened steel. I have used Chinese versions of this tool which cracked and creased with use. It's worth paying $25 instead of $10 for a tool that does the job really well.
