I'm not sure I would agree that the smell and taste are definitely 'cake batter' but these balms are nice. I've avoided the Chapstick brand in the past because it always seemed too hard and waxy to me; this strain becomes slippery and damp to the touch. It lasts a long time too! I use. When I go out I wear matte, long-lasting lipsticks and they dry out my lips; This balm helps me restore my lips when I get home in the evening.
