Completely replaces the original

This is much better than the original cable which was a tough cable that snapped in freezing temperatures. Comes with an extra memory card!

It's boojum! on Chargers & Cables

Not at all like an OEM cable - it doesn't collect traffic information - the coil wire is a little comfy but very thin - the best I can say about it is that it's only on this side is better than nothing. The built-in chip is weak.

It fits Garmin 2455 GPS as described so I'm happy with it and it works. The original Garmin charger just stopped working. Hope this one lasts longer.
