Bring your Nexus to life for computers and accessories

Not new. As mentioned in other reviews, it is a renovation. But they can work! I had to return the first one received (there were touch screen dead zones). But the second worked great. For the price he restored my Nexus 7. Installed LineageOS and got my tablet working again.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

USB Charger Replacement

I had this replacement installed on my Nexus 7 in June. In the beginning it worked great. Now my tablet won't charge at all. I've tried different charging cables so I know it's a tablet. It's only been 3 months and that's unacceptable. We'll contact Revane and see what we can do about it.

Cons
  • Faulty

Brought my old tablet back to life.

Same song. Nexus 7 version 2013 will not be charged. Replaced the charging port/card with this refurbished device and once charged it came back to life. The exchange is a bit cumbersome. From prying open the back to tiny screws and ribbon cables. But if you've got the patience, a steady hand, and a few hand tools, extending the life of a really good old tablet is worth the effort.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Security

nope Leaves the touchscreen unusable

I have the exact same problem as one of the other reviewers. Actually, I'm wondering if I got their fee refunded since I also have an "OK" marker on the front. The charger works perfectly. But only half of the screen is touch responsive, and then hardly any. the whole left side, about half an inch up and down, is completely dead. Reconnect the old board and it works fine again, but I can barely charge it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Works great but is refurbished, not new.

Works great *like* new. The only issue I had was that this is a used board with a replaced USB connector, not quite 'new' as the description would suggest. Still, it gave 5 stars because they cleverly replaced the only problematic component and you wouldn't notice the difference unless you looked for it. The description is a bit vague as to whether it's brand new or if you're replacing it with a new (for you) refurbished board. Version 1.4.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Some bugs

Failed and untested refurbished board - poor touchscreen connector

I bought this board to replace a failed USB 1.4 board in my Wi-Fi Nexus 7 Gen 2. I received a replacement board (obviously refurbished, marked "OK"). on the part with a marker and a strip of tape that essentially covers the Asus logo). I swapped out the circuit board and the USB port worked like a dream. However, after charging the tablet and trying to use it, I noticed very large "dead zones" on the touchscreen. I tried reinstalling the touchscreen ribbon but the problem persisted. I ended upโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Upgradeable
