Does not include a test cylinder

I should have known better for the price on offer but I was a little disappointed that no test cylinder was included. I thought it was so I went back to look at the description and photos. What I thought was a cylinder in the photos is actually a hard-shell case for storing the areometer. It will still work just fine, I just thought it had it all.

Good quality great price but needs LOTS of test beer to rate content, I've seen this in several reviews and decided on one Taking a risk, considering this device was so cheap, and knowing that something might not be perfect, but it's at least usable. If you sanitize the container first, you can just dump it out again and not worry about how long it will take.

Fun kitchen / brewer

The purchase and delivery of this item was exactly as I expected. The company sent me an additional email with several e-books to help me use my hydrometer. I've never used anything like this before and still had to look up how to use it properly. I use it to test the sugar and alcohol content of kombucha. I took initial measurements on my current brew and look forward to using it at the end of fermentation to get my numbers. Comes in a nice storage bag and is easy to read.

Easy to use, just what I needed.

Use this to make mead. A bag for it, a good bag to carry the hydrometer itself, a flash, a cleaning brush and instructions. Only criticism is that the bottle is quite big. When preparing alcohol, you need to measure its density. For small batches, using 250ml may mean you don't get enough free space if you don't return it. If you return it, you create the possibility of pollution or ventilation. There is ENOUGH space in the areometer flask. I think a narrower bulb would be a nice improvement.

Instructions for use for this product are limited. However, the detailed e-book instructions link sent with this product is broken and not working. I contacted the seller but never received a reply. This defeats the purpose of using a hydrometer when calibration is disabled and I have no way of calibrating it. Seller, if you are reading this please send me a link to the e-book. Inaccurate: Hydrometer

I received this along with a brewing kit for my friend to use to learn how to brew beer. It took him a while to get into it, but since COVID-19 broke out, we're having a great time. The packaging is nice and comes with a measuring tube, padded hydrometer and a drawstring pouch for storage. The pouch is too short and does not completely cover the measuring tube, so this part is useless. As for the areometer itself, we haven't been able to get any reliable readings yet. Excellent customer service and a quality product. would recommend.

The product is excellent. It's easy to use and comes with a variety of cases for added security. The only two things that stand out is the tube that houses the hydrometer itself, which has two caps and isn't capped on one end. Be careful not to drop the hydrometer on the floor. Also, a 100mL graduated cylinder is more convenient than a 250mL cylinder. Although it's just sophistry.
