Good quality and easy to clean

You know you're a grown man when you decide to buy a quality garlic press and spend time researching. I didn't want to pay $45 and needed something better than the cheap $8 versions. I tried this model and I really liked it! There are no chambers in the grips to trap water and the metal doesn't corrode like aluminum. If you turn the handles all the way back, all parts of the press can be disassembled and cleaned easily. It even withstands several rinse cycles in the dishwasher.

Good reliable garlic press.

My last machine was in use for too many years and was not properly cleaned. I stupidly bought one of those garlic presses as a spare and hated it. After one clove, all the extra ones slipped and slid back and forth all over the place. And it took a lot of pressure to crush it. That was my answer to the rocker. That's good press. Continuous. Seems well done. Big enough to hold on to. And it works. It's easier to clean than my previous one due to the way the pressure plate folds out. But it would

Excellent garlic press for the price

You would think a garlic press is a garlic press. The uniqueness of this particular press is that it has built-in gearing that allows you to exert force without any extra effort. Result; more squeezed garlic juice and more crushed pulp. Because the grate itself folds away from the handles, it's extremely easy to clean. At first I thought the design made it more prone to breakage. However, because the press assembly is "between” the two handles, it prevents the grate from being stressed and bent

Leaves at least 50% garlic and does not peel easily

I have to take the remaining garlic out of the press by hand or with a knife and chop it by hand because it just won't go through the squeeze. Also, where the bottom metal meets the plastic, the garlic always gets under the plastic and makes it very difficult to get out. I have to use the tip of a knife to get it out from under the plastic part when cleaning. Otherwise, you'll end up with rotten garlic in your press. If you look closely at the promotional video they have in the buy window when…

Nearly perfect!

This press can easily process large garlic cloves. It's not a soft touch, but it's comfortable and you don't have to press hard to push the garlic through the holes. It's not a huge press. It is not suitable for elephant garlic, and if you want to use it to mince other foods, you must chop them up first. It's strong but not compact. For me, performance overcomes memory issues. I can squeeze a lot of garlic quickly even when my arthritis flares up. I love garlic and don't mind the smell on my…

Good overall, could be better but does its job

I like it and it replaces the original which was starting to rust. The main problem I have is that it doesn't seem to give me as much garlic when I press it as my old one did. With the old one, I could put the pieces back together and press a second time to get more out of the carnation, but there really isn't that much you can do with this one. I feel like I'm wasting more garlic this way, not much but I've noticed. Garlic also tends to get stuck between the metal press with holes and the…
