Anyone who uses this type of glass jar for storage and everyday use knows the importance of strong staples. Almost every time you open a jar, the lid turns to one side. You can't just close it without changing the position of the lid. In this case, you need to make sure that the arch does not bend, it is weak. They are suitable for decorative purposes, but impractical for everyday use in my opinion, so I will send them back and stick with the Bormioli Rocco glasses.

These jars are exactly what I wanted! I wanted large, very simple, sealed jars for storage. The vacuum inside each can EXPLODES the first time I open it! The wire hinges and lid are simple but made from strong, thick wire that should stand up to everyday use. The silicone insert seals tight, fits snugly over the top and stays in place when the jar is opened. Nothing fancy, but if you want airtight storage for food, these jars are perfect!

I was buying jars to put my cut crop in and I needed something air tight so I looked around, it was a good price based on my research. Cans have several problems; The gaskets are flimsy and a fun orange color, and the hardware isn't as strong as I expected, making it look cheap and unimpressive.
