DO NOT BUY: Car Detailing

Purchased for use on a new set of painted rims. I took it out of the box and the first time I used it it was in the bin. Not only did it NOT hold any foam, but it also left a trail of small black hairs on my wheels. To top it off, when I shook off the water after I was done, the entire cleaning end came loose from the plastic handle. After ONE use with minimal pressure. Garbage. waste of money.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • New Competitors Emerged

The gerbil escaped! (fell apart on first use)

Cheap workmanship. Fell apart on first use. Part of the brush had slipped off the handle, exposing the strap holding it. This is a photo after a year of use as I missed the return period and am holding the brush by the handle. Every time I click without holding the edge of the brush, it slips off. So I'm wondering if Checimal Guys is smarter marketing than a reliable product.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Not even close to lasting

This brush is practically useless. It's really only good for exhaust tips. It's too short to reach the wheel stem. While long enough to reach, it's just too thick to fit between the brake discs and wheel drum on most high-performance cars. Even if all of the above were corrected, the brush would actually work about 4 times before the entire microfiber head would fall off due to what seemed like poor choice of glue. It looks like the head has been glued onto the handle of the brush. Avoid this…

Doesn't hold up well

I've actually only used it about 10 times in the last two years and part of the brush is falling off the handle. I've only used it on stock Honda Pilot and Toyota Tacoma TRD wheels. There is enough space between the wheel and the brake disc to put my hand in, so the space for this brush is not too tight. However, the brush moves away from the core of the handle and I often have to slide it back onto the handle to continue using it. It cleans the wheels well and is soft enough not to damage the…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Falling apart after 3 washes.

First wash was great which is the only reason I have 1 star but the brush started falling apart after 3 washes. I am very disappointed in the quality of this brush. I wash and clean my car very conscientiously and use my products with care. I was very disappointed when the brush started falling apart while cleaning the wheels. Since 30 days have passed (and how many times will you actually wash your car in 30 days) they don't offer a return option. Don't buy, look elsewhere for a wheel brush.

  • Nothing here

I tried it, it didn't work.

Possibly the worst round brush I've ever used. The fibers stick together with use and do not penetrate all corners of a stock Ford works wheel. Since the shaft has no compliance, it does not rotate in the wheel well. It holds and captures anything that "cleans". After soaking a wheel in the bucket for a few minutes to loosen everything in it, it ran clean water through it for about 5 minutes and when it was placed in a new bucket, dirt and grime still came out. Didn't try to top it based on…

Broken after 4 uses at Car Care

I don't know if I received a defective product or not. I've used this maybe 4 times and it was good until the 3rd and 4th time. Works great, cleans well but after the 3rd use it started falling apart. I haven't used it aggressively and I've used it with regular rim cleaning soap. The 4th time it broke off completely. It just appears to be held in place with some sort of glue, which at first doesn't look like it's going to last very long. I can try to help him out and order a second one when in…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Doubtful

Fine. nothing special.

I've used this on my wheels a few times and it's fine. I was very upset to find out that the wool part of the brush is not soft and flexible at all. It's essentially a wool rug wrapped around a plastic handle. The pen I received must be an updated version of the one pictured here as it is just a cone shaped piece of lace like plastic that the wool part slides onto. It's soft, holds a decent amount of soap, and works well where it can be placed. but that is a problem. I just can't fit in the…

Another poorly rebranded product from CG

This brush works well on wheels that are already in good condition but I wouldn't recommend it for more than a weekly light brushing. The surface of the brush is like a plush toy for children (think a fluffy hat). It falls apart easily and the overall design honestly feels cheap, not to mention the "CARRAND" label on the handle. CG I understand. Most of your profits will come from rebranded/rebranded items that are sold at a higher price, but that's mugging. Some of these rebranded products are

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
