This made me realize how obsolete my old solder wick is. it works but it's an amazing wick, just fluff up the copper fibers, push back the weave to reveal them and let it do its thing, it's a sponge, that's the only way to describe it. If you want professional quality, this is for you.
I've been involved with electronics my whole life (I'm 64) and this is by far the best solder wick I've ever used have. It works fast so you don't mess up related components by trying to pick one out. Set it to solder, touch it with an iron and watch it get sucked in. You don't have to keep moving and heating it, it just sucks it in until the solder joint is free of solder. Excellent material!
I didn't know what the heck other solder wicks were until I tried this one. It all depends on the density of the weave and the amount of flux - the material is excellent. I want B&D to change the picture in Revain - there is a different pack (it looks like a different brand and 10 packs). I'm glad I got the 25ft single coil which is much more convenient. I drilled a small hole in the outer shell to let it through, now it spreads nicely.
