California King is the perfect size for a queen bed. There is plenty of extra hanging material on the sides. Beautiful colors. Good quality but time will tell. This is a very pretty blanket as shown in the picture and looks really good out of the bag. But if you look closely at the blanket, it's a very cheap material and very poorly finished. The one I received has patches in the middle of the patchwork design. This duvet will not withstand washing and drying for you, I can almost guarantee that. I was a little nervous about ordering this because some previous reviews said the colors were "wrong", the burgundy was more of a dull red and so on. So I was delighted when the colors matched the image perfectly, giving it a really nice saturated look.
