Not accurate, waste of money

This Industrial and Scientific instrument is supposed to be precise, but as my tests showed, it had an enormous error margin. I'm utterly disappointed by this product that promised to deliver the best results in Dimensional Measurement.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Inaccurate and Waste of Money

Instant Time Saver

Have wanted one of these screw gauges for a long time. At our shop, someone lost a bolt from an old piece of equipment and it hasn't worked since I've been with the company. I had the right thread size in about 15 seconds and punched a hole in the center to get the depth/length of the bolt and the machine was up and running in about 30 minutes (after a trip to the local hardware store). Since the old machine was functional, we saved about 20 minutes per device we suggested. In fact, this sensor

Pros
  • Useful for checking tool angle when threading on a metal lathe; Check the angle of the threader on the V-groove on the gauge
Cons
  • Line is shorter than other picks

The description is precise but confusing.

I saw "Metric & Imperial" and thought ok there will be normal liberty units. But I also saw Whitworth and thought why not, it doesn't hurt. But I think the "imperial" form that the description is referring to is the Whitworth form, which if you think about it is a thread form that is not metric, that is, it is _one of_ the "imperial" ones To form. thread forms. Here's what you get: Metric and Whitworth British Standard. Not to mention that I am the ideal buyer for this product as I already own…

Pros
  • All blades are stainless steel, with wire draw on a rustproof finish.
Cons
  • not reliable
