I ordered a much cheaper straightener and my barber said it would dry my hair. So I decided to order this one and I really like it. It warms up well and does a great job of straightening my very curly hair.

Straightens like a dream and can create light curls without burning like a curling iron. I used the max setting of 450 because my hair is very thick and naturally unruly and frizzy and manages it well. I use a heat protectant spray and get great results.

I've always wanted Chi, but I've always used other straighteners that claim to do this and that but DON'T! I have very curly hair that tends to frizz after straightening due to humidity or sweat. Excellent iron. My stylist uses them too, in fact that's where I first noticed them. My hair (very thin) always responds very well to it. It is easy to use and has multiple heating modes. The heating temperature is displayed digitally and is easy to read.

I bought this iron because my hairdresser used it and my hair started to break. She could stand up in one go. I can't tell what hair type I have. I bet it was what I like to call stylist magic. This iron is the best I've ever had. My aunt, the hairstylist, recommended it because it makes the hair smooth and seals the follicles. My hair is no longer frizzy after going outside in wet weather! It's definitely worth it!

Heats up fairly quickly. up to 450° per minute. But when I opened the box it turned out not to be new. I ordered a replacement that was worse. For the price I expected a new part.
