Great tool for the money

I've had this tool for about two years, maybe longer. This is a great tool for the money. Very aggressive and quickly cuts through putty leaving a very smooth finish when used correctly. I replaced the clippad with a 3M Hookit Pad and it fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Heavy duty dual piston construction
Cons
  • Little things

This airboard is my mini gun lol! To be honest the action on this airboard is very smooth, you get a quality Hutchins model for half the price. The only difference between this and the larger Hutchins is the weight. Hutchin's weight makes the board smoother. But honestly I wear away a lot of material with the board and then block the sand. This airboard is perfect to get you closer to the icing.

Pros
  • Comfortable trigger and grip
Cons
  • Legacy model

Avoid using this brand name on power tools

FYI - this tool arrived at my house unwrapped in its original packaging - no tape or plastic wrap to secure the tool and no other box. I just opened the lid and it fell out. Miraculously, the tool works like a charm. No questions. Lots of power etc. 1 year update - stopped working after 1 year. This is my second tool from Chicago Pneumatic (I have a grinder and an air hammer) and they both had problems. I will not buy any more of these products. I thought CP had a reputation for making quality…

Pros
  • Has a comfortable grip for maximum user comfort
Cons
  • Out of style
