I love these night lights. They look exactly like the picture and are bright enough to see without stumbling when you run into the kids room and need to grab something. I've had them for about 8 months now and they haven't burned out yet, although I've left them on for over 24 hours at times. Their only downside is that there's no off switch, so you have to turn it off and put it on a dresser or whatever when it's not in use.

Before I even plugged them in, my 1 year old grabbed the owl glasses and ripped them into 3 pieces which he could easily swallow. I will never leave them in any outlet near the child or where they can reach them. They are cute but look like toys so most kids will go to great lengths to get them and as they break into small pieces I do NOT recommend them.

The size of my owls does not match the photos in some reviews. plus one of my "pink" owls doesn't work. Blue works well. I actually bought them for pink, the blue was just an added plus. The light is definitely not as bright as in the picture in the test report. I am sending these back. I know it was only $10, but if I leave something that only costs $10 and doesn't work, I end up spending a lot of money. * new rating, after shaking the pink owl a few times, it started to work. I love these night lights for our playroom! They're not so bright that they light up the whole room, but they're also not so dark that they don't serve a purpose. This is the perfect amount of light for walking around our playroom at night without tripping over toys and the like. They are automatic, light up when the light is turned off and go out when the light is turned on.
