I bought this sweater for my 70lb Pitbull which is a size XXL. His chest is so wide that most other sweaters didn't fit him properly. For 5 days it was perfect. Then it began to loosen around the neck and chest. I tossed it in the wash with other dark clothes and washed warm. Tumble dry on normal drying setting. Now it fits perfectly again! I don't usually dress my dog up. But I got this sweater for my Weimaraner mix. This is a very large, lean dog with a lot of muscle, little fat and very short hair, so temperatures of 30-40 degrees give him a hard time. Almost all the reviews I read here were NOT helpful. Few wise people mentioned the size they bought. Most reviewers said the sweater was great, fit their 60 lb dog and kept their dog warm.
