I bought this sweater for my 70lb Pitbull which is a size XXL. His chest is so wide that most other sweaters didn't fit him properly. For 5 days it was perfect. Then it began to loosen around the neck and chest. I tossed it in the wash with other dark clothes and washed warm. Tumble dry on normal drying setting. Now it fits perfectly again! I think the stretch is due to the fabric but that's ok with me. Just toss it in the wash when you make it dark and it comes right back. He will certainly warm him in the snow and protect him from the wind. The neck is high enough to also cover the collar so the metal doesn't get that cold. Its neck can also be folded down for walking or if your dog just doesn't like things on his neck. I would recommend this sweater to anyone with a large neck and chest. Dog.
