I will say you get what you pay for. When I built it I could see light scuffs and the wood fell apart easily but once assembled it looks great and performs as expected. I have chosen to write this review in response to other mentions of formaldehyde in the product. This table is made from medium-density fibreboard, which almost always uses formaldehyde. It is not unique to this product, so there is no need to align it for that reason. You probably already have at least one product in your household that contains MDF.
