"GOOD FOR YOUR EYES " WITHOUT LED!

After learning that LED lamps can cause macular degeneration due to the wrong wavelength of light produced by LEDs, I was fortunate to learn about "full spectrum" lamps that emit natural and harmless light. Lightbulbs I noticed that one was broken. The box should have a "Fragile Glass" "Handle with Care" sticker: on it.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No Automatic

Soothing light: bulbs

I really like this bulb. I also feel safe with him. I have one of those curly CFL bulbs and have been told they discourage EMI and if they go bad you need a hazmat suit to clean them! The light that this bulb emits is very soft and soothing, very natural. Full specification. The CFL bulb I had was a lot stiffer compared to this one. I have these in my bird room where they don't get much natural light. We call it "happy light" :)

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • reliability

Excellent lightbulbs. on incandescent bulbs

When the days are too dark and cloudy for too long, I feel down and depressed. I didn't know what was wrong with me until a friend suggested I buy "full spectrum" lightbulbs. I was amazed at the difference. I put them in all my lamps and sit under them in the evenings. I even left my bedside lamp on all night and no longer have a problem with cloudy dark days. I just turn on full-spectrum headlights and I'm happy camping. (I can't use fluorescent lights - the flickering gives me a nasty…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

Great bulb and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Really useful for everyone in winter. You don't need SAD to benefit - we ALL need sunlight and these full-spectrum bulbs are a wonderful, inexpensive way to get it in the winter. I keep it in my kitchen so we can turn it on when we get ready for work or every morning. I turn it on when I'm home during the day when it's sunny outside. I find it wakes me up well and keeps me active throughout the day. I put it in a small mobile table lamp so I can move it to another place in the house if needed…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick guide

Useful for plants and human eyes.

Not only plants need full spectrum light. CFL lights are not welcome in my house: they flood everything with a cold, harsh light. Sure you can see it, and they might last longer, but eye strain, headaches, and depression are NOT worth it. However, THESE lamps offer a full spectrum of light and color that is so comfortable, warm, relaxing and incredible in the dead of northern winter. Placed in a plant lighting base, they can also help give plants the full spectrum of light they need. Yes…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Bought two lightbulbs to experiment with. I have a ceiling lamp with two screw bulbs. I replaced two fluorescent tubes with these two incandescent bulbs, which are advertised as closer to full spectrum. I received two bulbs in about two days and they worked great when screwed into the ceiling light. They are indeed quite hot, which can be a problem in some cases. I removed the glass cover to see if it would run cooler by removing the glass cover that hangs under the bulbs to allow more light to

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
