CIPA 🔍 11170 UTV Mirror Review

Although the design of this mirror makes it attractive for any non-obtrusive application (say, if you're installing a windshield and don't want the mirror to get in the way of the installation), the thing is very cheaply made . When I first went to adjust after installation, the ball head popped out rendering the mirror unusable. DO NOT return this ball. If you're picky about your UTV like me, you won't like the mounting of the mirror as it will scratch the roll bar. Overall very disappointed…

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but this is a service mirror and not a regular car mirror. It's convex (curved) and objects appear much farther away, like many side mirrors in cars. Now for the mirror itself, well made for the money, visibility is excellent. I installed a roll bar on a 2011 Kawasaki Teryx Sport 1.75" as a rear view mirror which it worked well with. was too far back for a good view from the driver's seat. There are many mirrors for UTVs, but I chose this one because CIPA generally has good reviews and it sounds solid. When I received it I was pleased that it appeared to have a solid metal bracket and articulated metal arm. The mirror itself and lens are acrylic plastic, but that's ok. The convex mirror lets you really see everything behind you and far to both sides, it's not like a car where the roof is in the way. The bracket gives you a lot of flexibility in positioning.
