Great phone holder but could have been a stronger holder

Secure phone holder. It holds the phone and never slips. The only problem is how to attach it to the bike. In fact, this is a ball at the end of the rod, which sometimes shifts from its place. This forces me to reset it about every 5 miles when I drive.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Available in white only

Sturdy but does not fit Accessory

It certainly grips the phone but needs to be kept straight all the time while driving, especially when driving on a semi-rough road. It doesn't seem to want to push against the Ciro's ball mount hard enough to keep it in place. My buddy got the RAM mount around the same time I got this one. He had no problems even after laying at high speed.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Socket required

No problem Handlebar accessories

Bought a Ciro cup holder for my bike and was a big fan. So it wasn't hard to go back to Ciro to replace the gaudy phone holder I had previously. Now the phone is in place and removed much faster and easier. Thanks to the universal ball mount, I can switch between cup holder and phone holder as needed. The ability to charge via USB made it so I didn't have to install a separate charger via USB. I wish it was less of a hassle, but I'm glad I made the switch.

Pros
  • Tested for one year
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Everything is plastic.

I've had this for about a year now and I hate it. First you need to buy the mount separately. I knew this beforehand, but that basically makes it a $60 phone mount. The only thing that isn't plastic is the ball itself that it's attached to. The ring that goes around your bar? Chromed plastic. While the holder itself is solid, no matter how much you adjust it, it will tilt down as you ride. With each hit, I reset my phone. For a nearly $60 system, you'd think it was made out of anything other…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Protection

Vibrates like crazy and the lock can't stop the phone holder from moving.

This is meant to match the Ciro ball bar I bought. It's hard to believe this is the case, or the quality control department doesn't test them on a motorcycle. I put it on a Victory Cross Country fairing, the vibration was much less than my Harley. I have found that no matter how tight I tighten the nut in the back there is always play and the cradle moves. With the phone in the holder, the extra weight is even more noticeable. I have a Kuryakyn cell phone/GPS holder which is also a fairing…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Upgrades
