I think I should leave a review to warn others that this product is very small. I ordered a size 14 for my daughter who is nine years old (she is more the height/height of an average 11 year old) but the shorts are a size 7/8 compared to other brands. Waist over 11.5 inches! 23 inches in total - doesn't match their size grid at all. They appear to be of good quality but would have fitted her when she was six or seven years old. We are currently on our third pair of these swim shorts as my children have outgrown the first two pairs. We love that these swim shorts offer active little girls modesty in the pool. They are seamless in the crotch so they don't rub. They wash and wear very well. As with most swimwear, you can size up. Of course, over time you will notice a little wear and tear on the floor if you sit on the edge of the pool like children. That's why we personally prefer darker colors. It would be great to see

I ordered a size 12 pink swim trunks. I followed the sizing guide recommendations and got one that fit her waist. Unfortunately, hip and inseam measurements are not given in the table. My girl has "juicy" hips and buttocks so the size 12 was too tight in those areas, it also hit above the knees (9 inches in inseam) but it fits the waist nicely. If you are a kid then medium to slim on the buttocks and thighs I think the size chart will be correct. The material seems to be of really good quality,
