This is a well designed product. However, this does not work well on Jeep Wrangler models or vehicles with a small clearance between the windshield and mirror. Otherwise this is a good choice with vans or sedans and regular SUVs.

I connected my phone to the dashboard as a DVR. But the heat of the sun really heats up the phone. This mount elevates it and protects it from reflected heat, and I can direct my center vents toward the phone to cool it down. A good solution if you don't need a dedicated DVR. The price is fair for what you get, the metal feels exquisite, as do a few plastic parts.

I've tried all the phone holders for my car and I can finally say I have peace of mind. I hate teats because they lose suction over time, tried one for cup holders and it didn't work for me either. This one works like a charm! I have a 2006 Nissan 350Z and it fits perfectly in my rear view mirror. I am very satisfied with this cell phone holder. Thanks for inventing this.

I have a 2006 Silverado so it's important to find something that fits within sight while driving. I've tried several dashboard models with no success. Tried the one that clamps the rearview mirror that feels separate. This one finally fits perfectly. Clips behind the mirror on the stand that I have tried with other models but this is the first that has worked. Holds the phone well in landscape mode (can't vouch for portrait mode) and has lasted a year now, longer than any others I've tried.

My dash wasn't designed to use suction cups and I didn't want to give up a vent just to hold my phone so this was it a compromise idea. This clip holds my phone perfectly, never slips. Also, I have a large phone and I haven't seen any issues with the clip holding it. Still not sure if having a phone on the rear view mirror is cool as there is a def. some degree of obstruction, but it's also useful to have at eye level when following directions.

Attaches easily and I can still raise the windshield as usual. I use it with an iPhone XS Max in a thin transparent case and it has plenty of space. I like that it's not directly under the mirror so I don't have to worry about adjusting it when I put my phone in the holder. Once everything is set up the way you want it, you can tell it's solid. At first this product seemed to fit in my mirror relatively well and my phone was facing me. It wasn't perfect, but at least it looked my way. I had pearls hanging from me, and when I tried to take them off, I found that they were stuck in the collar. After removing the beads, the clip around the mirror just tightens and won't wobble when the phone is almost all the way down. The mirror had to be moved to allow the phone to look out and not down. Now I don't have a rearview mirror to rely on. I
