Description of πŸ”’ Chrome Bottle Stopper with Threaded Post (3/8” x 16 tpi) for Hand Made or Lathe Turned Handle Attachments – Pack of 5

Add some curb appeal to your wine bottles by creating your very own bottle stopper! The Classic Chrome Bottle Stopper is sure to turn heads once you have mounted your very own and unique handle or topper. From hand made handles or toppers to lathe turned bottle stoppers, your only limitation is your imagination!. With a 3/8” x 16 tpi (threads per inch) stud on the top side of the stopper, you can attach the stopper to most anything with a matching thread size. You can tap a threaded hole directly into your stock or you can use a threaded insert (sold separately) that would be embedded into your stock piece. Most woodturners prefer to use an insert since it is more stable over time and provides a secure fit that will last. The stopper measures approximately 31⁄4” in total length and is approx. 57/64” in diameter at the top or widest end of the bottle stopper. With its cone shape and the protruding rubber seals, the bottle stopper provides the perfect fit for most any wine bottle. The Classic Chrome style is simple in design and that makes it compatible with many different styles and types of handles. It looks great with standard wooden turned handles, acrylic turned handles, metal turned handles or even handles that are not turned. CAUTION: Once you make one bottle stopper, it is highly likely that you will want to continue making more and more bottle stoppers. We as a company can not take any responsibility in regards to the addictive nature of this hobby. Please enjoy!.

Decent Price Best in Wine Corks

I sharpen wooden corks and this is an attractive way to finish them. The instructions are well done and the packaging is very good.

Cons

Fiction! for bar and wine tools

Great wine corks! I got these to make some wood windshields and the chrome finish is fantastic. That's a lot better than the $7.99 a piece I got from Woodcraft. Excellent purchase.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Good quality, needs a special woodturning bit

What I didn't realize when I bought these for my husband is that they require a special bit for turning. It might be on the list but I didn't notice. They are heavy and good quality as far as I can tell (haven't been able to use them yet as they had to wait for the nozzle to spin them first).

Pros
  • Bar and wine tools
Cons
  • Modern

Great for gift crafting

I bought other bottle stoppers to start with and for some reason they didn't fit any bottle I had at home. Then I bought this. They were cheaper but fit all my bottles due to the taper. The only thing I don't like is that they seem to be a little less quality than the stainless steel drip plug I bought and the grub screw comes loose. Also, they work for what I need and make great gifts.

Pros
  • Wine Stoppers and Fillers
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something

Definitely solid: Wine corks & fillers

So far, so good. They are quite durable and appear to be well made. I haven't had them long enough to see how the finish holds up. The only possible bad thing I could say about her right now. Unless the thread appears to be chrome plated too. They should only be stainless steel, but they work great.

Pros
  • Wine corks & fillers
Cons
  • High price
