So hard to use - seriously. Continue reading.

We bought TWO because they looked clean and smooth. It doesn't need more. Because the sides of the lid are beveled and smooth, it's quite difficult to lift the lid without bumping into oil. This results in the inside of the lid being smeared with oil in random places, which doesn't look very nice. Also, within a week of purchase, a relatively light plastic container fell on one of them and shattered into lots of broken glass. It was on the counter where we prepared dinner. We had to throw awayโ€ฆ

Nice Butter But A Bit Dirty Lid

Beautiful glass oil bowl. The design is simple and attractive. You could throw it in the dishwasher without putting it on to clean between chopsticks. A disadvantage is that there is no separate regime between the space under the cap and the space for the oil, so the oil can very easily wet the space under the cap when it makes sense. Some have a separate track to keep the lid away from where the oil might actually be and they can stay a little cleaner. The platform space is big enough for theโ€ฆ

LOL - These reviews are killing me!

I'm reading reviews and Q&A and I think it's an oiler or a fusion reactor - LOL. THIS IS A 9 BUTTER DISH, dammit! Two pieces of molded glass. It fits exactly as pictured and is very good. If you want one with a handle or with combs or whatever, buy one that goes along those lines. Don't buy this and don't complain about it. (Slightly confused by the person who couldn't grab the top because they didn't have one.) A regular quarter pound packet of butter fits perfectly (why do it any other way?).
