This is what a kitten needs. Does it pretty much keep them off your couch, say, half the time? But today is still Saturday etc. I've been buying stuff like this for years and dare say they last a little longer than usual. I can only say.

My kitty has been enjoying this scratching post for almost a few months. At first she couldn't reach the top and it was a great way for her to achieve a full body vertical stretch. She's grown a bit now and doesn't use it that much anymore, but it's held up very well considering she's been using it multiple times a day for over half a year.

This cat scratching post is expensive. Sisal does not stick and quickly detaches itself from the subsurface. (Carpet stays attached) I gave it three stars because my kitty loves it and still uses it. She had another one (of the same design) that lasted many years, this one only lasted a couple of weeks before it started falling apart. For the price, it's not worth it due to the poor workmanship.

My cats love this hanging door scratcher and it saves my furniture from their naughty behavior. When I bought the first all three cats were completely ignored and one day one tried it and of course the others followed and boom it was a success. So effective that I had to replace it with a second one. So if your cat doesn't take it right away, I'd say keep her on your toes and she might just accept.
