These filters are well constructed but inexpensive enough to be changed regularly. I usually rinse mine under cold running water after each use and let them dry. I can easily use each filter 20 or more times before having to replace it with a new one, making it very economical. You also get 3 new side brushes as a bonus, however I still use the original brush that came with my Neato Botvac as it hasn't worn out even after 8 months of daily use.

I bought this filter because it was a lot smaller than Neato filters. The problem is that they don't have a fine mesh over the filter area so dust, pet hair etc gets caught in the filter and clogs it up very quickly. Neato filters have a mesh covering the filter so you can quickly wipe up dirt without clogging the filter. Dear Manufacturer, Please put a net on Neato filters and it will make those filters MUCH better.

The original filters that come with Neato have a pre-filter mesh that covers the disposable filter on the bin-facing side. This fabric prevents coarse dirt from getting into the filter folds and clogging them during cleaning. The screen makes it easy to wipe away those large debris when removing dust. I don't like writing bad reviews because these guys are usually small startups and negative reviews are the last thing they want. However, I have a Neato Bavac D5 and bought this set primarily for the side brush to replace the original side brush that came with my Neato. I would love to love them but they just aren't the same. The fit is tight, making it difficult to empty the container. I was willing to live with it because the savings were substantial. However, I quickly noticed that the filters got a lot dirtier and faster (and I brush them out after every use).
