It works well for hemming, repairs

This is a very useful product if you have arthritis or no time/talent for sewing. I’ve hemmed my dad’s pajamas (with my first tube) - washed them at least 100 times and the hem is still in place. I’ve hemmed black out curtains, etc. The only caveat is using this on thin, silky materials. I didn’t do well when I hemmed my dad’s jersey pjs, but it might just be my technique.

Pros
  • It did its job
Cons
  • Don't waste your money and time.Won't wash and stick. Certainly "NOT" for denim.

It does the job but it's not cute

Thrifted a beautiful purple 100% cashmere sweater for $9, but didn't notice it had a small tear in the fabric on the back until I got home. Ordered this to try and save it bc I really liked it, but the glue didn't dry like I thought it would. I read that it dries clear so I expected the dried consistency to be less thick and tacky like it is in the photo. The hole was less noticeable than the fix :( I should've turned it inside out before applying bc the inside looks much better

Pros
  • Dries quickly
Cons
  • Clogs easily

Does the job nicely

used this to attach some patches to a backpack, worked very nicely and took a little getting used to to make sure the corners stuck. I used a couple heavy books to hold them down and the bonded nicely to the fabric. Make sure you put enough on the corners or make sure they are weighed down. Good stuff

Pros
  • Was able to hem some clothes in under 5 minutes. Worked perfectly without any mess.
Cons
  • I did not like the feel and stretchiness after 24 hours. Going to try the iron on next

Good stuff: my feedback

I've been using this product for years with great success. I've used it for hemming and repairing clothes, crafting projects and even used it to "sew" a pair of kitchen curtains when my sewing machine stopped working. The adhesion is superb, so much so that I even ripped a pair of pants when attempting to let out a hem. I've washed and dried material with this product numerous times with out any issues. I've tried similar products but I always come back to this.

Pros
  • 394
Cons
  • Leaves stains on fabric

This stuff really works!

I am very hard on my blue jeans in my job. Seems like they're always getting torn. With this product I simply cut a patch and glue it to the inside. Will hold up to at least 50 machine washings. I keep it on hand.

Pros
  • USED TO ON A SEAM OF A PAIR OF LOUNGE PANTS. SO FAR SO GOOD
Cons
  • Poor adhesion

I’m a a bad seamstress. I’ve used this before

I’m a a bad seamstress. I’ve used this before, but I bought it this time to patch a bunch of holy jeans. You know, you buy expensive jeans with bikes on them. But over time the holes get bigger and bigger. And instead of paying a seamstress $15 per patch, and the thought of doing it myself is just way too much. I spent about 30 minutes and patched five or six pairs of jeans with lots of holes. I put and old t shirt u derneast all of the holes. And perfect! I’m all set!

Pros
  • Ideal for emergency mending of garments, fabrics, and upholstery
Cons
  • Messy and difficult to clean up

I love this product and use it all the time

I love this product and use it all the time. My husband is always buying clothing that is not a perfect fit and wants to fix it right away. I do not have the time to sew it all so I bought this product for him. He is able to cut and hem as much as he pleases. It does not leave any stains that leak through the shorts he fixes - I have used other products that have. He is pretty heavy handed when using the product so that is a plus. It holds up pretty well in the wash. We usually hang dry our…

Pros
  • Can also be used for various DIY projects
Cons
  • Doesn't bond well to synthetic fabrics

Used this to patch holes in a number of my "work” jeans. Sacrificed my worst pair for material to patch the others. In general the patches are holding up pretty well, though a few areas have pulled away after only one washing. Still, great price and value for the money, and overall easily breathed new life into work jeans that seemed otherwise to be ready for the garbage.

Pros
  • Provides a seamless and invisible repair for fabrics
Cons
  • Difficult to find in stores

Just what every woman needs

This product really works. Sometimes you just need this when you can't sew a seam or need to keep 2 fabrics together. It is a product that I just like to have on hand.

Pros
  • Clear
Cons
  • Poor quality ingredients

Perfect for a quick patch

Save time with this to patch a piece of clothing. Takes about 8-10 hours for a nice patch to dry but it holds up on a pair of jeans:

Pros
  • Sewing Notions & Supplies
Cons
  • Leaks easily

It WORKS! on my review.

My daughter had purchased a flow up chair and where you set has a suede cloth made in it. there was a hole and I tried using the patch that the chair had cane with and it did absolutely nothing. So I ordered this and it has stayed blowed up since! So thanks for such a great product! It saved me from having to return an item which I hate btw haha

Pros
  • It’s everything described just not as flexible as I wanted
Cons
  • Difficulty in applying

Where have you been all my life

Where have you been all my life. Recently discovered this product. Can’t live without it now. Lots of sewing projects — perfect for hard to reach corners and areas that need to be stitched down—now I use this adhesive. Love, love, love it.

Pros
  • I used this for hem on a sleeve that came loose
Cons
  • After a few washes the adhesion didn’t last and ended up sewing instead.

My couch looks nice again

My couch ripped at a seam on the seat and I was worried I would have to replace the whole couch! I decided to try this and it worked great! Just put glue on the inside fabric and glued down the top upholstery. Looks good and discrete and isn’t hard to the touch like some glue.

Pros
  • Its portable and sleek packaging design makes it easy to carry during travel
Cons
  • Dries too hard and stiff

Great stuff! for my opinion

Comes in handy in a pinch and when your sewing skills are lacking (ahem.moi), use Liquid Stitch to save the day! The 4oz tube is a really great value when you compare it to your neighborhood market price. You won’t be disappointed with its adhesive-ness and ease of use. Goodbye needles and thread; welcome Dritz Original Liquid Stitch!

Pros
  • USA
Cons
  • Doesn't work on all fabrics

Gobs of glue in my review

I liked having the ability to use a glue that is permanent however I did not like the applicator. It dispensed far too much glue . Even being extra careful did not help much. Would like to see a smaller applicator tip for what is a good glue.

Pros
  • Allows users to fix their favorite clothes and retain memories associated with them
Cons
  • Requires large amounts of glue for each use

Too soon to tell. on my review.

I just used it for the first time, so I can't really say. I have to wash the item a few times before i can critique it fairly. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Machine washable and dryable
Cons
  • Expensive for the amount provided
