It's Glue - Bad Packaging, and Messy Dispensing

Usual stuff. 1970's packaging that many elder seniors could not open without cutting their skin or worse.Dispensing it evenly takes some patience. However, the STUFF WORKS WELL ON FABRIC. I'm using it on a strap with a athletic knee brace. Also, it cleans up easily as it dries quickly, and you can peel, and roll it off of stuff like your fingers.

Pros
  • Very easy to use and it works, I don’t have to sew anymore.
Cons
  • When I used it my shoe it did not work

Great glue for fabric tear.

Used this glue for a tear in our comforter made by a cat's claw. You can see where the tear is but the glue holds the fabric together nicely.

Pros
  • The glue won't shrink, crack, or break down over time, ensuring that your projects will last for years to come
Cons
  • Can be less forgiving than some other fabric adhesives in terms of mistakes or errors

Sew much better on my review.

The best! I bought a knife proof backpack for my eventual travels so my belongings could be secured. I wanted to customize it with fun patches, but I didn’t realize knife proof would also be needle proof as well. I tried hot glue, but the patches would fall off and leave a gluey outline. Gorilla fabric glue works so much better. The hold is powerful and it sets quickly- but overnight works better.

Pros
  • This product works amazing if you follow the directions as its says.
Cons
  • Could stain clothing or surfaces if spilled

Not waterproof like they claim

I bought this because it says it's waterproof and can wash items in washer after letting it set a couple of days. I waited 2 weeks and the fabric glue disappeared and it came unglued.Product doesn't work as recommended and listed on package. Very disappointing to spend money on this item and then it doesn't work at all.

Pros
  • Fabric glue worked perfect to repair my fabric blinds.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove if applied incorrectly or in the wrong place

Saved my ball gown!

I found the perfect dress for an incredible price from Saks fifth Avenue, but when it arrived, the embroidery was coming apart in multiple places. Turned out it was the last dress of that style that they had so I either had to return it and find another dress or try and get it fixed. None of the seamstress or alterations places said they could do anything to fix it. I decided to give this glue a try and it was absolutely perfect. The embroidery was on a see-through overlay, so I was worried the

Pros
  • The affordable price of the Clear Gorilla Waterproof Fabric Glue makes it a great option for anyone on a budget
Cons
  • May require a steep learning curve to apply effectively

A good glue for sunbrella fabric

I had good luck with it on sunbrella fabric. I patched a few holes on the bimini on my sailboat (for non boaters: that's the tent over the cockpit) and so far the patches are holding out very well. Both patches and bimini are made of sunbrella fabric. I also used it to glue sunbrella patches on clear plastic. It takes a while to cure, but this is not an issue for me. So far I am very happy with this product.

Pros
  • The clear formula makes it perfect for use on fabrics with patterns, colors, or prints that you don't want to cover up
Cons
  • Could become brittle or crack over time, even with proper application

I think it worked best in my review

Not completely decided but I think it worked.held it in place for 2 minutes and it separated but I redid it and left it alone for 24 hours.

Pros
  • I used this to reattach binding to the edge of a rug and it is working out great. No problems at all.
Cons
  • Might not hold up well with extended use or wear

Works great! good for me

One of my favorite headbands fell apart and I was thankful to find this adhesive. It is clear, drys fast, and is super easy to use. This is definitely great to repair and add designs to fabrics.

Pros
  • Had iron on on shirt that was coming off. Ordered for this. Worked perfectly. Washed and still held.
Cons
  • Could cause fabric to warp or stretch while drying

Super easy to repair an expensive top with decal

Used this to repair a top with a decal -- was easy, no mess, and I was able to wear the item the next day. You can also wash items after using this glue.

Pros
  • This product worked exactly as I needed it to.
Cons
  • May not provide a strong enough bond for heavier fabrics or materials
