This is a little more opaque than I like in my parchment. I use it/my students use it for overlays so sometimes it's hard to see what's under the parchment. But it's a good price for the amount you get.

I am a collage artist and have been looking for this parchment for a long time because unlike others it does not crease when I apply it with a gel medium. I just print it on my laser printer and then add all or part of the image to the collage - the parchment is translucent showing some of what's underneath for a nice effect.

I bought this paper to use with crayons, markers and/or technical pens. Good quality paper, while thin, is fairly durable and can be erased without tearing. It is naturally translucent. Ideal for fine art, mixed media where you want to prevent marker smudging or running and also ideal for technical drawings. I definitely choose parchment.

Translucent parchment mat in various sizes. Before I retired I used LG size pads of parchment to draw floor plans (and many other line art in black ink or pencil). I now use 8 1/2 x 11 parchment pads to draw landscapes or still lifes. Instead of an acrylic mixing palette, I use a cooking sheet covered with WET paper towel (2 layers) and parchment on top. I rate this item low because I can make a direct comparison to another translucent Parchment weighing 16 pounds. I purchased both this item and the less expensive Strathmore Laser Translucent Vellum in the same order not knowing which would be best for my project(s). Although Clearprint parchment is about 10-15% more opaque than Strathmore, it curls much worse after laser printing, absorbs laser ink less well, and blocked my trusted mid-range HP laser printer twice out of five tries.
