Not Worth the Money

I'm not impressed with this aquarium substrate at all. Pet Supplies shouldn't sell products that don't live up to their claims. When I tried this product, it ended up clouding the water and wasn't very effective in promoting healthy plant growth. Plus, it's much more expensive than other substrates on the market. Save your money and look for a better option.

Pros
  • Pro: None
Cons
  • Con: Clouded the water, not effective for plant growth and expensive.

My tank crashed

I have a 75 gallon mixed reef tank that makes a great bare bottom tank. I just wanted to add some sand for aesthetic reasons so I only added 15lbs to get a 1/2" thick layer. The next day my SPS are all discolored, my LPS are all closed and my softins are wrinkled or peeled off I would not recommend anyone to put this in a marine aquarium.

Pros
  • Aquarium substrate
Cons
  • Requires outlet
