Just received this item and tried it once and it seemed good except the sections come apart easily with use - not completely but enough that the shaft can bend if not on it is respected and does not support the user. I folded it up thinking I'd have to send it back, but I checked the reviews section of this item on Revain first. I don't usually use poles for hiking, but I was advised to take them with me on my recent trip to Peru. What attracted me to it is that it folds and folds into a very small package.
