Cheap but a keeper.

The metal part attached to the handle is a little weak. The sheath instead of a plastic cap is thin and sometimes difficult to put back on. But it was cheap, and appearances can sometimes be deceiving. Therefore, if it breaks, we are ready to insert it into a wooden pin, provided that we do not bend the metal part itself or the short rod. It's not bad. None of them seem super sharp. Special or not? My husband often sharpens them when they're new, which helps.

Clover sewing ripper

I already had one of these rippers and really liked it. The reason I like this item so much is that the dot/cut area is small and easily fits into stitches. The V-shaped area of the cutting edge/blade is very sharp, which helps cut stitches smoothly and quickly. The handle is larger, rounded, lighter and more comfortable to hold during use than most raspers. I ordered a few more so I have extras and I can give my daughter and seamstress friends as little gifts.

While this is a very good one, I'm betting on the "Clover 463 Seam Ripper" which I would pick from anything I have or found on the web. I think I would have liked this one better if I had hand issues like arthritis as the grip is bigger. The…

Efficient, sharp ripper

Now that I've been using this new ripper, I'm amazed at how much sharper it is than the smaller, cheaper ones. This is of great importance for the tearing speed of the seams. Since I often have to rip open the seams (!), I don't use a vinyl sleeve. The seam ripper just sits next to my sewing machine on the shelf. Those seamstresses who believe that the cover should not be vinyl can simply make a new one from a dense fabric. It would take every 10 seconds. The grip is actually quite strong, even
