Comfortable thimble

Outstanding quality. It sits best on my index finger. I can take a small one to try on my middle finger; Middle is a bit big. I have psoriatic arthritis on my hands. My joints are larger due to this condition. I sew/darn a little. A good alternative to a hard thimble.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Easy and comfortable solution

I wear a medium work glove or dress glove for a snug fit that allows freedom of movement without sacrificing dexterity. I bought this size M (medium) leather thimble to use when sewing leather. It looks well made in Japan, and with a little work and a little persuasion, it quickly stretches just enough to comfortably fit between the first and second knuckles of my index finger. It's not tight or thin. As Goldilocks once said, "That's just the thing."

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

This thimble ring saved a life. Without constant information about my finger, I can knit all day if I want. The medium fit is a little loose, but due to my large ankles, it stays in place well enough to work for me. It also goes under the crook of my fingers so I have freedom of movement. In addition…

  • handy item

  • So far so good
