🍀 Convenient Clover 9505 Double Sided Basting Tape with Nancy Zieman: 1/2-Inch by 7.5 yd. for Seamlessly Securing Fabrics Review

This tape really helps stabilize the top of my embroidery machine's hoop when trying to keep it exactly where I need it before snapping it into the bottom of the hoop. I've reused the same ribbon 4 times on the hoop and it still holds the fabric in place and does the job.

This tape sticks well, but trying to flash it is a disaster. The sewing machine needle will get stuck, resulting in skipped stitches and eventual thread breakage. Nothing on the packaging warns that stitching through the tape is not recommended. Once the tape is on the fabric, it's almost impossible to remove. I will never use it for fabric again.

In addition to securing the hems and basting, I use this tape on the inside of my outer hoop to hold the fabric in place while I insert the inner hoop. I find it has just enough tack to keep the fabric from shifting and creating more volume between the two parts of the hoop. It takes several embroidery sessions, after which it loses stickiness.
