I'm sending this item back. I thought this would be a nice gadget (I love sewing gadgets) as I am planning to make a blanket that Nancy Z used it on. This thing is useless. She showed usage by drawing a dashed line from one corner of the square to the other - well, it doesn't quite work, so you have unmarked parts of your square. This is a really great piece of equipment for marking, cutting and sewing half square triangles. I used to have a quarter inch ruler but I couldn't mark the center of the square to cut out, only seam allowances. I was constantly folding my triangles to cut them and sometimes they were wobbly.
