Clover Protect Grip Thimble Large Review

I ordered this for hand quilting which I have been doing for years without finding the right thimble for me. My search continues. This thimble is comfortable and holds my finger well, but I personally don't like using the tip of the thimble to push the needle. I was hoping that the rim around the top would allow me to use more sideshift (I use the bottom of the nail when not wearing a thimble). I have large fingers and have always had trouble finding the right size. The metal ones always hurt my finger and I could only use them for a short time.
