Hello Clover, nice to meet you.

I recently wanted to replace my old bright yellow quilting needles. I have had them for many years. My creative aesthetic doesn't accept bright colors and yellow pins, although they served their purpose from a purely practical point of view, they just felt out of place in the center of my creative space. I've researched more straight glass head quilting needles than I care to admit and finally settled on them. They're a welcome treat! First, I love colors. I bought the orange-mid amber set but…

The sharpest needles I have found

I have just received these needles and am very happy. I've been looking at sewing needles versus quilting needles etc. I make masks and need the needles to easily go through 2 and 3 layers. These pens are amazingly sharp. The photo shows the red and green glass heads, which I don't really like, but the ones that arrived are a deeper amber color and light green in color. Glass bowls are great because they can be ironed. I have many sets of needles that claim to be sharp or very thin but they are

Great Needles - Quilting Needles

I have 0.4mm and 0.5mm cloverleaf needles but I need longer needles. They are almost 2 cm long. Although they are very thin and bend or bend, they bend and straighten again. Problem. I like the thinness of these needles when working with tie-dye fabrics because they don't leave large holes in the fabric like regular quilting needles do. It took me a while to get used to them, but now they're my favorites. The glass heads are small so I can pet them without worrying they will melt or add a lot…

Pros
  • Size 0.6mm in diameter and 48mm long
Cons
  • Not as thick as other needles

These are great pens but the main reason I am writing this review is to clarify the size of these pens so others don't get confused and run into problems like I did. These pins (Item #2509) are 0.5mm thick, not 0.6mm as stated in the description. According to their website, Clover sells 2 types of quilting needles - regular quilting needles (package labeled "Quilting Pin" item #2508). and these thin quilting pins (package labeled Quilting Pins (Fine), Art. No. 2509). Regular quilting needles…

Pros
  • Iron Resistant Glass Pin Head
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
