🚓 Cobra ESD7400 Performance Radar/Laser Detector: Ultra Bright Data Display, Safety Alert, VG2/Spectre Surveillance-Undetectable Review

I returned this item. It would constantly trigger a laser alert when I drove past pharmacies that actually have X- or K-band security systems. It also went off whenever I accelerated from a standstill. I suspect that something has come loose in the device. I have upgraded to a Cobra digital display with voice alarm and this unit works flawlessly. The seller honored my return despite a rather restrictive return policy.

This saved me many times. It's reliable, simple, and great for the price. Cons: It just takes a little getting used to. Sometimes, depending on the area, a city will slip off your radar and go nuts for no reason (thanks, Birmingham, MI). Works great at night and on the freeway. Be careful, often the cops will turn off their radars and just wait for you to rush by to grab you - don't blame the radar!

I bought this specifically for a 350 mile trip from New Jersey to North Carolina. I was very happy with his work. He warned me of every trap along the way. It has also saved me several times on the spot since I just tried it before the trip. My only disappointment is that the suction cups (to attach to the windshield) are not very good. So I put it directly on the dashboard with velcro and it worked fine. I would give this 5 stars if the suction cup mounts worked well.

Received the detector earlier than expected and couldn't wait to test it. I live in southern New Hampshire and have been able to locate cops in every town around me. It also recognizes you at a reasonable distance (about 150 to 200 meters in highway mode). Really good for the price, but if you're a "professional" speeder I'd recommend a broadband detector (like a 14 band). Has a few false alarms from time to time.
