🧂 Coghlan's Backpacking Salt and Pepper Shakers Review

I needed a purse sized salt and pepper shaker that would not leak. It works great and now I can take Himalayan salt on the road. Remember to order another one for other spices when we travel for work and restaurants/mini-marts don't stock certain spices. It is conveniently small and perfectly shakes medium to large sized granules. And you can always pop open the other side of the filling for a pinch.

I wanted to give everyone an accurate description of the salt and pepper shakers. The ad or description says it is 2 x 2 x 5 x 5 inches which is not true. As you can see I took a regular bike and a mini bike and put them side by side so the salt and pepper shakers are a lot smaller than 5 1/2 inches which is great for me because I use this with my lunch box . at work and it doesn't take up space at all, it's very easy to use and feels very good.

I looked everywhere for a small pepper shaker for my purse. I needed a lid that would seal tight and not spill. I was surprised how hard it was to find anything. I hate going to restaurants and you can't shake peppers. Seeing how tiny the holes were I was afraid they would be difficult to shake out, but it turned out to be easy. Since I don't use salt, I filled both with pepper. I know this might not be a big deal for some people, but for people like me who eat a lot of pepper, it does matter.

When you go to a restaurant these days, there are no longer any salt and pepper shakers on the table. So this little device fills that gap. It is small enough to easily carry in your pocket or purse. I'm sure you'll see better devices on the market as this pandemic progresses. Those are aluminum, stainless steel etc but for now this fits and is very reasonably priced. I'm sure as soon as the rumors spread you'll see the price of it skyrocket. I gave it four stars because it's not quite perfect,

I overestimated the size of this thing. He's tiny. It contains about a thimble and a half of each spice. I was hoping to use this to take essential condiments with me on an overseas trip so we could cook for ourselves for a week without having to buy grocery store sized condiment containers. This product is ok, the size is great. So far so good, but the only complaint I have is that every time I open it, it spills some salt and some pepper. What could be nice in the woods, but I use my lunch box and business attire, and I don't like spilling salt and pepper every time I open them. We've been using these for years to avoid using salt and pepper shakers in public restaurants. It's better to fight the pepper grinder if you have arthritic changes on your hands.
