This should be in every package!

I would give this little grill a 10 if I could, it's very light and takes up almost no space in my backpack. I've used it over an open fire, over a camp stove, and over hot coals with no problems. It's small enough for a daypack but big enough to grill two 1 pound ribeyes! When I'm not using it, I keep it in a USPS Tyvek bag so it doesn't mess up the rest of my gear. You can use this grill right side up with your legs for support, or turn it upside down or turn it upside down and stand the…

Some tweaking needed

This is the only similar product I could find anywhere in this price range, so five stars for that alone! In fact, the Pack Grill is far from perfect. It has sharp corners and jags on the ends, so I sawed and sanded it a bit to avoid punctures in the pack and damage to other gear. I have no experience in this area, so I also wrap the Pack Grill in a thick cotton cloth. The legs are a bit flimsy and need to be placed on a flat surface and I was nervous outside of a medium 32oz pot so I prefer to

Worth the money

Can't rate this 5 stars even though I like it. Burrs and sharp edges at all ends of the poles are a hazard to my equipment and to me. However, there is nothing that can be fixed in minutes with the file. Am I blaming the Coghlans? Not really. What quality control can you expect for less than $5? But it needs some work before you can actually use it, so that's it. Now about pluses. The size is perfect for camping with pots and pans, burgers, steaks, you name it. It holds exactly what you need…

It seemed weak to me, the metal deforms easily

I opened it up and one leg was at about a 75 degree angle. The other was 90 degrees. The legs have a small piece of dangling rack wire built into them that prevents them from opening past a certain point. Mine were bent two different ways, resulting in one pair of legs being at a different angle. When I tried to bend the wrong wire back into place (only a few millimeters of wire dangling to do this, the wire detached from the clean one. Also, some wires at the top of the rack were bent upon…

The legs are too long for my purposes.

This guy is pretty good, but not perfect - at least in my area. If I've done a lot of hardwood camping I might be tempted to cook over an open fire, in which case this grill's long legs might come in handy. Anyway, the most common trees I camp by are conifers, which give off a pretty nasty smoke. Because of this I have to wait for the wood to burn to charcoal before cooking with it, at which point the legs get too tall. I typically use the grill with my legs down, propped up on rocks or sticks,
