I bought these on sale at a great price. They fit well and the skin is supple as you would expect. Some reviewers complained about the durable leather. I have three complaints about the shoes. I recently bought a second pair of these shoes because the sole was starting to wear out after 4 years of frequent (usually daily) use. I often wear them as my main shoe in warm weather, which is where I live most of the time. I have to say that I usually wore them without socks (I live in warmer areas) which probably accelerated the deterioration/peeling of the sole. The old pair can still be worn, but I put orthotics in and use them for "rougher" work (like going to the gym on a legless day).

I ordered a size 12 which is the same size I have worn in CH shoes for years including a previous pair of similar driver style loafers where I have replaced the soles since I got them and they seemed very tight. I thought it might just be leather to wear but I grabbed a pair of old size 12 loafers and compared the sole and the sole was hard on them. 0.25 cm narrower.
