I have installed many of these switches over the last 15 years and my first one failed. These are great switches. At night, when the power is on, the switches glow white, and when you turn them on, they glow red, making it very easy to find the switches in a dark equipment booth. They are rated for 20A and I'm sure they will last a long time. invoice

I thought the switch was defective because the red light did not light up when it was switched on. Found that the red power light only works when the white light on the switch is on because the dash lights are on. If I had known that, I would not have bought this switch. I think the normal thinking is that the red light 'on' activates without the dash/headlights turning on. Wiring according to instructions. It is a pity that the manufacturer or seller did not mark this function.
