Fan performance was better than expected

Actually it's a "double rating": First, the fan worked very well, maintained a constant airflow, was quiet, powerful, and actually lives up to many reviews which were displayed with my order/purchase! But second, it only worked for about 3-4 hours before slowing down and then stopping. Others have complained about the same problem. Most notably, the fan performance was better than expected and Revain supplies us with replacements. I will try again and only because in all my years of being aโ€ฆ

Still going strong 7 years later

We have had 5 of these fans in 7 years which I bought from Revain. These little fans save lives! I returned to buy more. Last used? Hurricane Irma. One set of batteries in each, 36 hours of continuous use on low, provided enough airflow to get adequate sleep in the extreme South Florida heat with blinds closed and no real airflow otherwise. The batteries are still charged. For the perfect setup I would recommend 2 fans per person for sleeping (to keep the whole body cool) and 1 for sittingโ€ฆ

50% You have to send back

I bought 2 fans. One was excellent, the other made a loud noise like something was wrong with the engine. I returned 1 bad fan. My new fan came with the same problem. I returned it. Then I got his replacement back and he had the same problem. I returned it and bought 2 more as my campsite was close by and I didn't have time to return it again. Both new fans were good. I decided to just keep both of them, so I had 3 good fans and 3 returning fans in total. As for the fans review, the batteryโ€ฆ

I love my new Coleman camping fan!

What an amazing thing! I'm one of those people who likes to have a fan to keep the air moving even when the house is cool because I like to feel the air rushing around. It was a bit warmer than I expected on a recent camping trip and I tried to imagine sleeping in my tent without a fan. So I looked everywhere and found a lot of junk, but then the Coleman guys who've been making camping gear for God knows how long. I have this lightweight fan and it works amazingly well. First, the size of theโ€ฆ

Five stars for fifteen dollars

My tent is 10 feet by 14 feet. In a small tent, this fan will probably be more effective at keeping several people cool, but if you're only using it for one person nearby, the size of the tent won't matter. From my estimates, it's good for 1-1.5 people on low settings and 2-3 people on high settings. Since the fan has no guard rails and vibrations, it is quite light (D cells are not that many). However, I can't imagine anyone carrying it on their back when camping. I used this fan for 10 daysโ€ฆ
