My tent is 10 feet by 14 feet. In a small tent, this fan will probably be more effective at keeping several people cool, but if you're only using it for one person nearby, the size of the tent won't matter. From my estimates, it's good for 1-1.5 people on low settings and 2-3 people on high settings. Since the fan has no guard rails and vibrations, it is quite light (D cells are not that many).
