Review on πŸ”‹ Coleman Battery Operated Fan: Stay Cool Anywhere with this Portable Camping Fan by Danielle Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Five stars for fifteen dollars

My tent is 10 feet by 14 feet. In a small tent, this fan will probably be more effective at keeping several people cool, but if you're only using it for one person nearby, the size of the tent won't matter. From my estimates, it's good for 1-1.5 people on low settings and 2-3 people on high settings. Since the fan has no guard rails and vibrations, it is quite light (D cells are not that many). However, I can't imagine anyone carrying it on their back when camping. I used this fan for 10 days of summer camping and it made a huge difference to my tent. Keep in mind that I've only used this on myself on a low rig a few inches from me, but it would do the same job at a great height from two feet away. If you've ever tried sleeping in a tent in the summer (particularly a nylon tent in direct sunlight), you know it may not be possible. This fan makes it possible or at least helps you fall asleep an hour or two later. In the past I was exhausted after 10 days of camping because I couldn't sleep [I go to bed very late]. Others may want to get up at dawn and try to nap later during the hotter part of the day. This fan lets you do just that. It won't stand 100 degree weather, but at altitude it can create a 90 degree feel at all costs. Clip On, 12V, 6" diameter and 12V charger, like Energizer 84020 All-in-One Jumpstarter 12V, 18Ah, with air compressor and inverter. This fan is easily 5 times more powerful (and 5 times heavier) than the Coleman and oscillates so it can cool 5-6 people or significantly lower temperatures for one.It has the benefit of a 24+ hour battery life as well as a bright flashlight for your tent, outlets for charging portable devices and it can Start your car or inflate a flat tire.
