Coleman 3 Piece Nylon Serving Set Review

You can't even get close to warm. Without touching the bottom of the pot, I stirred the soup with a spatula and it dissolved into the soup. It might be a Coleman, but it's not even worth $8.

Yes the dimensions are listed but they are larger than I wanted. I'll be switching for something smaller and more portable - this is a full size kitchen gadget. And read the post more closely!

They feel solid and the angles on the tools are as expected, but I was surprised to find the handles are hollow. I have bought many Colman products to go camping this season and am disappointed with the lack of quality I have found -

We were making scrambled eggs on our last hike and the spoon started to melt in the heat of the pan after 30-60 seconds as I mixed in the eggs. The spatula did the same when I turned the bacon. Definitely doesn't tolerate heat well.

Perfect Christmas present for my father who is an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast. When we go camping as a family, we usually pack our good kitchen utensils. Now it would be nice to have a sturdy set for camping supplies. And the ring around the bottom keeps them together perfectly. High quality and highly recommended!

They are perfect for cooking on the go. I like bright red because it's hard to lose or misplace. Same comment for the ring that holds them together! Almost everyone I've hiked with since I've had them has commented that the ring is a brilliant idea. Also, I haven't had the issues some people have written about where the red is peeling off on her arm, and I've cooked 3 times a day (and washed after each use) on 3 weekend hikes since I bought them.

The color of the dishes I received is different from the one in the photo. They are rather dark red/almost burgundy. I was hoping they would be like the picture, like Coleman's signature red. Their quality isn't what I expected from Coleman either, they remind me of Dollar Tree paraphernalia. Also the ring that holds the 3 utensils when not in use is much smaller than in the picture. In the end we brought them back. Instead, I buy something from the Dollar Tree.

This is a nice little set that I use when we go camping. Build quality is good enough for me and my family, but then again, I'm not a brand snob and grew up with a lot less. I would say this is about the same quality most families would use in their household. All three are connected by a ring and are red, which I like because they are easy to hold together and the red color is easy to spot. If mine broke I would buy it again. They are beautiful to look at. That's my plus. However, they do not withstand cooking. Sorry, but EVERY kitchen utensil has to withstand the heat in the pan. These cannot. On first use the ends curled up under the heat in the pan as I was pan frying food. Luckily I had my trusty old backup cook set with me. I don't think I should complain too loudly.
