Works well not so bad aftertaste

Be aware that it contains hydrogen peroxide and will therefore explode or expand a bit in your mouth if your gums bleed or hurt or whatever because the peroxide sizzles. I only use a small amount of Cap and it seems to be working well. I had a small mouth ulcer from eating a chip that cut into my gums and I used it to make sure it didn't get infected or get worse and it seemed to be working fine. Even after three or four flushes I notice a slight aftertaste. So I would wait a bit before taking…

If you have gum ulcers, BUY IT

I have had several gum ulcers. Gargling with salt water helped but didn't reduce the size or pain. I bought this based on the reviews. Flush four times within 24 hours as directed. The next morning, one of the four ulcers disappeared, the ulcer balance improved by 75%. I gargled again that morning, feeling like it might be too strong for my mouth to balance, so I stopped. The next morning the wounds were gone. SO five rinses 48 hours the ulcers disappeared. AWESOME, if this happens again I'll…

Colgate Peroxyl Mouthwash, Mild Mint, 8.4 fl oz

I never really knew there was a cure for mouth ulcers. Sometimes my sons got it because they had braces or hats in their mouths. I would manage not to wait for the food to cool or accidentally bite the rim of my mouth. I got it on a whim and it has worked wonders. Burns in the mouth, which usually heal in a few days, have practically disappeared in the following days after using this rinse. You will immediately feel how it starts to work. Ideal for children with braces. Great find at a great…

The thing really works!

Whenever I have a problem with inflamed gums, this product helps me get rid of the problem within a few days. Occasionally I had problems with the site of wisdom tooth extraction (partial extraction to avoid nerve damage during surgery). It's healed quite well, but sometimes the gums are still a little irritated. Hormones also play a role in occasional gum irritation. This mouthwash is gentler than alcohol-based mouthwashes, but it really takes care of what's causing the…

Thanks for the find!

I started drinking coffee again after a long abstinence and noticed a few small sores where I tended to bite the inside of my lips or cheeks (terrible nervous habit!). I used to dry them with toothpaste, but that can be painful. I heard that mouthwashes are now available to treat mouth ulcers and I was curious how effective they are. I risked a size smaller and I have to say I'm sold! My husband has several spots in his mouth that are prone to chafing and now I know he can use it instead of…

I'm torn about this product.

I gave this product four stars because I was disappointed with this product. I will say my most painful wound, it has already helped her to recover. It was a full day's work. However it has resulted in my taste now being gone and my mouth a bit irritated/burning and I'm thirsty like no other! I will spend more time on this in the hope that it will help fully. It seems to have mostly healed an ulcer but caused many other ailments. I will say that it blew on the first use. However, the pain from…

Didn't heal my stomatitis

My friend really recommended this product to me because they often get stomatitis and it helps them. Unfortunately, I've been trying to use this product for a week and haven't noticed any benefits. The pain that was developing in my mouth was getting worse and I didn't notice any benefit from rinsing my mouth with this mouthwash. Also, the cap is poorly designed. Even when I actively empty the cap after use, I always see the liquid run down the bottle, making it sticky and leaving a residue on…

Finally! Something that works!

I have suffered from stomatitis for too many years. Especially during stressful times I could get 2 or 3 at once. I felt them pop out and I knew I would suffer for 2 weeks. I've tried benzocaine ointments before. It would hurt like hell to use and make eating and such easier, but it didn't shorten the duration. I also tried patches. It was such a hassle as he would fall off. I found that sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. I also felt that the patches were overpriced. If you are…

Good product for mouth ulcers

I recently had two teeth removed and ended up with a dry socket. It was the most painful thing I've ever had. Even though I did everything the dentist told me to do and not do, it still happened. Then he got infected and became more painful 😖 (if possible). They kept telling me to gargle with salt water and I did it but it only helped and didn't relieve the pain. So I did some research and found that clove oil (therapeutic grade only) is not only a pain reliever but also an antiseptic. So I…
