Nice heavy razor that fits the replacement blades I use. I love the golden hue but when added to water and shaving cream it gets slippery so be careful! One slip on a neck shave and the woman gets it all, not half!

This is now my favorite travel razor. I have a Qshaver Portable travel razor pouch and it works great. I use a very similar razor at home - and have had a Merkur Futur 4 piece shaving set for over 20 years - and use them with Trac II (or Personna imitation) blades. I use the same Atra full metal razor handle that I bought when they first came out in the mid 70's. it finally clicked a bit so I decided to give this one a try when I came across a range of discounted Trac 2 blades. I like it, it's one piece, no moving parts, shaved "good", but it looks like the designer made it slippery on purpose. It's not that it's so slippery that it can't be held. I bought this razor handle as an upgrade to my basic Gillette Trac II razor handle. This chrome handle is too heavy at the base, making it difficult to hold and maneuver while shaving. The overall balance is very bad. The Trac II replacement blade slides back and forth at the end of the work, making the shave a little unsafe. I cannot recommend this razor handle. I went back to my regular Gillette Trac II razor handle, which works much better.
