👔 Leather Buckley Belt by Colonial Belt Company Review

The other day I was looking for a real leather belt in the store and I found one that I liked. It was a beautiful belt, but it cost $25 and was made in China. So I figured I bet I could find an American belt for the same money. 2 minutes later I was on Amazon and found this strap, you guessed it. for the same money. Fast forward 2 days and I'm wearing it. The belt is excellent, no defects, no scratches. Genuine leather, durable and looks great. I love it! America 1, China 0

The industry generally uses "vanity" sizing for pants, so 32" pants are actually designed to fit a 34" waist. And to get your belt size, you can add two inches or measure yourself and you're done. However, for some reason the size for it is a bit ridiculous, more like 4 inches. So I ordered a 36 strap for my 32 inch pants and yes it works. But the belt holes are a little off. Very strange. It is actually a well made belt, the fit is so imperfect that you notice it when you wear it.

I've had it for over a year and no signs of breakage. I bought a real leather belt many many years ago and it still held up well but looked a bit worn and my wife started to complain about the look. I've bought others but they're all made of this flaky stuff that peels off and falls apart in less than a year. I love this belt. I ordered 32 because I'm 32. no. I was on the last hole and it was tight. I returned immediately, they sent me a new belt the same day and it arrived in about 2 days! Brilliant. Order a size or two like everyone says. I have a 34 and I'm on the third hole from the end. I can add a few more inches and still wear it, but no more. I think 36 is too big. High quality leather, stitching, buckle. favorite belt!

This belt has a sheer layer of beautiful leather over rough leather. This layering of leather is a fairly common practice and can even be a good thing, as finer leather tends to be weaker than rougher, but in this case the veneer layer is too thin. This belt will wear out no matter what it's used for, even if it's worn to the office every day, the plywood will likely wear out after a few months.
