Dear John James Needles

Nice and strong needles, great for my hand sewing/quilting projects. Along with my Clover needle threader, this old-eyed woman can get the job done with minimal frustration. I like that the needles don't bend as easily as some other brands. And I like to use other sizes of John James needles.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Very thin, very sharp and difficult to carve. Glide like butter.

Wow wow wow. I have used Dritz needles and have been frustrated. I decided to try these. I decided to make a piping on my art quilt and I had to hand sew the piping on the back. These are the thinnest and sharpest needles I've ever tried. Glide through fabric like butter. They are thin and will flex if you put too much weight on them. The eyelet is smaller so it's harder to thread them through, but once threaded they are awesome.

Great needles for hand sewing!

Love these needles, first time using this brand. In the last 50 years I have sewn a lot by hand! Sewing quilts, quilted quilts, clothing, curtains - anything I could sew by hand and didn't need the rush that required using one of my sewing machines. These are now my favorite needles for all types of hand sewing that don't require a special needle. Thanks to all the people who have been recommending them for hand sewing for so long. I should have listened decades ago lol.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors
